Board Certified Behavior Analyst

The role of the BCBA is to provide supervision of behavior technicians and direct ABA therapy to children ages 2-10, while meeting the client's needs, using evidence-based and best practices and adhering to the BACB code of ethics. The BCBA is also expected to implement high-quality training for parents and caregivers. Additional roles as it may apply includes supervising and training behavior technicians.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Position varies and may be solely clinic based or a combination of clinic and community.  If travel is required to perform services in a client's home or school setting which includes Southwest Virginia and East Tennessee; we will attempt to not exceed a radius of 30 miles unless previously agreed upon and necessary.
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), VB-MAPP, and other specified standardized assessments as appropriate
  • Develop and update treatment plans as necessary and at least once every 6 months
  • Observe the Behavior Tech implementing treatment plans, provide consultation and constant training
  • Provide structured parent training
  • Use online HIPAA compliant software (provided) for clinical notes, treatment plans, data collection, payroll, file sharing, and assessment
  • Work closely and collaboratively with all staff members
  • Other essential professional duties as assigned

Skills required:

  • Certified by the BACB as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • Behavior Analyst licensure in Virginia and Tennessee (preferred)
  • Master's degree in applied behavior analysis, education, psychology, or speech and language
  • Must possess a high level of ethics and integrity
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Registered Behavior Technician

Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) teach communication, academic and other pertinent developmental skills to children on the autism spectrum utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). All duties will be completed under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and extensive training and supervision will be provided. In most cases, this is a full-time position (35 hours per week) and the RBT will be working with clients in our ABA Therapy Center, located in Bristol, TN.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide intensive one-on-one therapy to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other related childhood disorders in a clinic setting
  • Implement communication and behavior acquisition treatment as outlined by a treatment plan
  • Collect data
  • Develop/create teaching materials
  • Discuss client's daily progress with parents/caretakers
  • Work with BCBA to implement individualized goals and checklists
  • Maintain respect and confidentiality for all clients
  • Maintain and protect the well-being of all clients
  • Maintain technical and professional knowledge with continuing education

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma

  • Ideal Candidate: Current undergraduate/graduate student in Behavior Analysis, Psychology or Education
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Outstanding social skills
  • Excellent observational and analytical skills
  • Candidates must be patient, flexible, energetic, self-motivated, creative and must work well in a team environment
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training and certification is required within 45-60 days of hire
  • Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time
  • Must be physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • CPR and First Aid certified
  • Pass criminal background check
  • Pay Rate: Varies depending on experience and education
  • Schedule: 20-37 hours per week, Mon - Friday, no weekends
